European day of languages

Durante la segunda quincena del mes de Septiembre hemos estado trabajando en el colegio desde el área de inglés y contando con la colaboración de padres, madres, alumnos/as y maestros/as, el día Europeo de las Lenguas, que se celebró el pasado 26 de septiembre.

Varias fueron las actividades realizadas, como el mural a la entrada del centro, que pueden ver en la Galería de Fotos o el concurso para averiguar el significado de la expresión en una lengua europea y su país...en el que el curso ganador ha sido: 6ºB. Felicidades! y gracias a todos por participar.

Thanksgiving

We celebrated Thanksgiving the 4th Thursday of November. We learnt the American history and English history of Thanksgiving and Harvest Festival. We learnt that in England thanksgiving is called Harvest festival.

Thanksgiving day(USA) and Harvest Festival (UK) started when the pilgrins thanked to God for the good Harvest.

The traditional food at Thanksgiving is:

Corn

Pumpkin pie

Cranberry juice

Turkey

Vegetables

Mashed potatoes

Chocolate pudding

This year, we celebrated Thanksgiving at school. We painted pictures of different traditional food and we made a big mural (you can see the mural in the pictures)

In English class we learnt the story of Thanksgiving and we also did some presentations on the computer about this day. We enjoyed a lot at Thanksgiving!!!!
