We celebrated Thanksgiving the 4th Thursday of November. We learnt the American history and English history of Thanksgiving and Harvest Festival. We learnt that in England thanksgiving is called Harvest festival.
Thanksgiving day(USA) and Harvest Festival (UK) started when the pilgrins thanked to God for the good Harvest.
The traditional food at Thanksgiving is:
Corn
Pumpkin pie
Cranberry juice
Turkey
Vegetables
Mashed potatoes
Chocolate pudding
This year, we celebrated Thanksgiving at school. We painted pictures of different traditional food and we made a big mural (you can see the mural in the pictures)
In English class we learnt the story of Thanksgiving and we also did some presentations on the computer about this day. We enjoyed a lot at Thanksgiving!!!!
